It is important for us that Users/Viewers understand how we, LAUGFS Holdings Limited, its subsidiaries and associate companies (LH), treat information about Users/Viewers received from the Internet and feel secure when browsing www.laugfs.lk and its constituents.
LH does not make available to any third parties any personal information submitted by visitors to our site and only authorised LH staff or our agents (who have agreed to keep information secure) have access to such information. Personal information is understood by us to mean, data that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, a home or other physical address, an e-mail address or other contact information, whether at work or at home. In general however, Users/Viewers can visit LH's web pages without telling us who Users/Viewers are or revealing any personal information about Users/Viewers, but Users/Viewers may be unable to access certain options, offers and services that involve our interaction with Users/Viewers. If Users/Viewers choose to provide us with Users’/Viewers’ personal information on the web, we may transfer such personal information, within LH or to LH's third party service providers.
When information is needed, we will try to let Users/Viewers know at the time of collection, how we will use the personal information. Usually, the personal information we collect is used only by us to respond to Users’/Viewers’ inquiry, process and order or allow Users/Viewers to access additional services on request. Users/Viewers may also receive periodic mailings from us with information on new products/services, special offers or any information about the LH deemed to be of interest. If Users/Viewers are currently receiving such mail, but do not wish to receive such mail in the future, please let us know by sending us an e-mail with Users’/Viewers’ request.
For each visitor to our website, our web server automatically recognizes the consumer's domain name and e-mail address (where possible). A technology called ‘cookies' may be used to collect aggregate information on the individual pages accessed by users, average time spent on specific pages, identify a user on his/her return etc. Information thus collected will only be used for internal review, to measure the use and improve the content of our website and Users’/Viewers’ web experience, to customize the content and/or Users/Viewers of our page for each individual user, and will not be shared with other organizations outside the LH unless legally required.
The LH website is not structured to attract children. Accordingly, we do not intend to collect personal information from any one under 16 years of age.
Links from this site may take Users/Viewers to sites not covered by this Privacy Policy, and while we try to link only those sites that share our respect for privacy, we are not responsible for the privacy practices adopted by other sites.
By using the LH website, Users/Viewers consent to the terms of our Internet Privacy Policy and to LH's processing of personal information for the purposes given above as well as those explained when LH collects personal information on the web. Should the Internet Privacy Policy change, we intend to take every reasonable step to ensure that these changes are brought to Users’/Viewers’ attention by posting all changes on our web site for a reasonable period of time.
